Recently, we had the opportunity to showcase our skills at Brighton Road Hospital in Rhyl, where we were tasked with drilling 127mm holes through concrete that was reinforced with 20mm rebar throughout for our client Wynnes.
To make light work of this demanding task, we opted for a powerful 38 drill. This particular drill is specifically designed for drilling through tough materials like reinforced concrete. With its precision and efficiency, we were able to swiftly and accurately create the required holes. For this commercial project, the 38 drill allowed our team of specialist diamond drilling contractors to complete the job in a timely manner, without compromising on quality.
One of the concerns raised by our client was the potential for running water and concrete slurry during the drilling process. They wanted to ensure that the site remained clean and tidy throughout the project. To address this concern, we employed a wet vacuum and ring system. This setup effectively controlled excess waste material, preventing any mess or debris from accumulating on the site.
The wet vacuum acted as a powerful suction device, efficiently collecting any water or slurry that was generated during the drilling process. It ensured that these byproducts were immediately removed from the site, preventing them from causing any inconvenience or hazards. The ring system, on the other hand, provided an additional layer of control by containing the waste material and directing it towards the vacuum. Together, these two components worked seamlessly to keep the site clean and tidy, meeting our client's expectations.
